Would you like to know how I’m getting 1,500 new subscribers per month?

¿Cómo he conseguido 1.500 suscriptores nuevos al mes?

5 years ago I opened my blog,, during the first years, i was publishing content just for fun, “to see what would happen”, but in the last two years, I started publishing content regularly, creating tutorials and this became my job and recently I also managed to get 1,500 New subscribers per month. Do you want to know how i managed to do that?

Blogger, the platform he had used to create the blog, offered a rather limited email service, Feedburner, that I didn’t use, didn’t know and had no idea how to set it up.

I started using Mailchimp by chance and the idea of being able to send my posts automatically and have more direct contact with my visitors seemed very interesting. This was my first contact with email marketing, but there were some aspects that were not what I was looking for

I discovered Mailrelay less than a year ago by a recommendation from Celia from the blog “El perro de papel“.

I find it difficult to get used to new things and I thought the change would be a nightmare. But the opposite occurred. I just needed to import my mailing list, create the newsletter to start seeing the results.

I like the fact that I can find the information in my language, with articles and tutorials on all the features of the software.

¡Envía hasta 75.000 emails gratis!

The Mailrelay  team was at my side from the start, when I had the first questions about creating templates for newsletter or when I didn’t know how to include the subscription form in my website.

Having a team that responds effectively in less than 24 hours makes my job much easier.

Customer service not only responds, but they are always open to the suggestions of their users.

This is an advantage and a smart way to grow and adapt to the real needs of users.

The tools available are very powerful, including:

  • Statistics and Reports
  • Lists of Subscribers and their Classification
  • Targeting
  • The variety of templates
  • Custom opt-in forms

All of these features will help you better manage your mailing list and communicate with your readers in a more direct way.

The growth of my database with Mailrelay has been spectacular, n 10 months I was able to increase from 1,800 blog subscribers to 10,000 and now I’m getting about 1,500 new subscribers per month.

How did I manage to do it? I’ll share with you my 5 strategies, some of them will sound familiar, but they really do work.

1) Add a Popup on your website or blog

Inviting users to sign up and receive your free content on their inbox is a great strategy.

If you offer more unique content to encourage users to subscribe, the amount of new leads will increase even more.

2) “Sign up” button on Facebook

Your social networks are a fantastic showcase for publicizing your work, so it is very important to facilitate for your visitors to sign up and receive your campaigns.

3) Add subscribe links  in each of your posts

Your followers who have already signed up will not use this link, but it will be very useful for new visitors to your blog.

4) Talk to your subscribers

Your goal should not be to have as many subscribers as possible, but to have as many engaged subscribers as possible.

With Mailrelay you can view statistics on the open rate of your campaigns, this information will be the perfect thermometer to know what matters to your readers.

Don’t be afraid of “upgrading your database ” once in a while and ask directly what your readers want to find on your blog.

5) Create expectation in social networks

I publish video tutorials twice a week and I encourage my followers to sign up for my blog on social networks, before the day of publication, I show a few seconds of the content of the next video with a clear call to action:

Sign up now, free and you will receive this content in your inbox tomorrow.

This strategy is especially interesting to implement on Facebook, I’ll explain why.

We all know that this social network is turning to content in video and any post published in this format receives much more visibility than posts with a simple image.

Record a video with the content that you will publish tomorrow in your blog and you will see how you can attract new subscribers. Instagram and other social networks also strongly focus on video content, which means that you can use them to promote your blog.

Finally, I would like to share a thought with you: if the most important social networks

were to alter their algorithm, stop promoting your posts, with which your page or your profiles were forgotten, what would you have to show for your work? All you really have is your mailing list.

Don’t rely on just any company.

What are you doing to get new subscribers?
