How to write a seller email step by step?

Writing a seller email is one of the essential parts of creating a successful email marketing campaigns. Today, I would like to offer you a checklist, so that step by step you can write an email that helps sell more.

We need to see the email as an option to sell more, the newsletter, as the culmination of all our marketing efforts, where we will send the valuable information to our subscriber.

It is the last step in your email marketing strategy. Therefore, before preparing a sales email, you’ll need a strategy.

# We start with a problem or something the user wants to buy

The primary motive of any campaign, whether to promote a product or service is to solve a problem, need or offer something the user wants to purchase.

The first step is to get users to know your brand.

For this, we can use different tools or strategies:

  1. Advertise the product or service using Google Adwords

Do you remember that we mentioned earlier that everything starts when the potential customer seeks a solution to his problem or wants to buy a new product or find a service?

In the email you send, you should make it clear that you have a solution to the problem, answering mainly these two questions:

  1. What product or service solves the problem?
  2. How will the problem be solved?

This should be entirely clear, or the email wasn’t created correctly and you will not be able to sell.

► 2.- Developing the solution

In addition to indicating that our product or service is the ideal solution for that problem, we will need to answer a few more questions:

  1. Why the product or service is useful in solving the problem?
  2. Why it is the best solution for the customer and what are the advantages when compared to the competition?
  3. And why is it an effective solution for the client?

We have almost all the answers we need.

► 3.-Answer the questions

In addition to clarifying the reasons for the utility of the product, it is important to answer some of the most frequently asked questions:

  1. What is the price or cost of the product or service?
  2. How can the user measure its effectiveness?
  3. What happens if the customer doesn’t like it or doesn’t get the expected result?

These questions and their answers are meant to generate the confidence needed for the client to buy with the security of knowing he is making the best decision.

# But I can not send so much information in a sales email!

That’s a lot of information, yes.

But it can be put into an emil, don’t worry. The important thing is that:

You should be brief and concise.

Without trying to send  more information than it is strictly necessary.

Also, remember one of the most  important things in email marketing:

Your newsletters are a means, not an end. If you can’t send all the information in a single email, add these details on your sales page, and encourage the user to visit your website for more information.

That is, we will insert the necessary information in the email and use a call to action (CTA) to encourage potential customers to click on the link to visit the landing page.

And on the website, the user will find more information:

  1. More FAQs
  2. Product Images
  3. Product videos
  4. Opinions and comments from other customers
  5. and most importantly, information about the purchase process.

In the email, we will have to give the initial answers.

Perhaps the most important ones.

But not all, for this, we need a website, which is the appropriate means to respond and improve trust.

In many cases, it will be better to send a brief and concise email.

  3. Why is our product or service useful in solving the problem?
  4. Why is it a better solution when compared with other products?
  5. Why is it an effective solution?

Well, we already have everything.

But as we’ve seen before, it’s a lot of information, so what can we do?

It doesn’t matter if you are using an HTML or plain text newsletter. This will depend on the target segment, products, subscribers (which must have been tested with previous campaigns).

The most important thing would be to test until you find the most useful format.
